
Program Objectives
The Chartering and Sponsoring organizations want to:

Promote education in the construction field.

Help groom future generations for successful careers in the skilled trades.

Promote a sense of community by encouraging participation in a year-end community service project.

Provide students with career path guidance on options including:
-
Apprenticeship;
-
Higher education in construction including related careers in architecture, estimating, jobsite management, marketing, administration and more;

Direct Employment.

Teach participants an appreciation for the hard work and dedication demonstrated by those working in the skilled trades.

Teach participants how to network with employers.
-
Help develop real world employability soft skills including business etiquette, timeliness, proper attire, responsibility, familiarization of job applications, interview skills, etc.

Provide an environment for career exploration to help students learn where their interests and skills would be best suited in the skilled trades.

Provide a Letter of Recommendation as requested by participants, requirement is to attend at least five of the seven scheduled sessions.

Encourage leadership during post sessions amongst peers and with interactions with sponsoring contractors.
